James Audsadang

Xènia Cubí (La Garriga, 1998) is a set designer and visual creator working across theatre, live arts, and television. Her practice combines scenography, lighting, and audiovisual elements to build immersive environments that enhance narrative and spatial experience.

Her theatre work includes Què més vivia en aquell lloc, tret de nosaltres? by La Filla del Capità, presented at the Temporada Alta Festival; Lanny and Phaedra’s Love, directed by Julia Valdivielso; and 10 Minutes at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. She also created the light installation Isondúes for the festival Llum Barcelona (2020). Her international experience includes participation in the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2019 as a video-making assistant, as well as the workshop Dialogues Within the City, organised by the Teatre Lliure in collaboration with the Norwegian Theatre Academy.

Alongside her stage work, she has built a solid career in television as a set decorator for TV3, contributing to programmes such as Eufòria, Col·lapse, Planta Baixa, and Cuines, as well as the commercials Us estàvem esperant, Ens mou l'entusiasme and Torna Eufòria. She has also worked as assistant set designer on Andreu Buenafuente’s monologue Curraràs and on Vosaltres Mateixos, produced by El Terrat. Her lasts works includes La casa nostra, the new sitcom by Dani de la Orden, produced by Sábado Peliculas, as an art director assistant. 

In addition to her production work, Xènia develops original audiovisual content. Together with Rafel Vives, she has co-created two television projects: Manetes, a children’s programme centred on ecological awareness and crafts, and Súper Illa, a satirical sitcom set in Barcelona that explores contemporary urban life through the lens of an alien invasion.
